Wells Fargo Invests $100,000 in Arizona Boys & Girls Clubs to Support Youth Through Walkout

Marcia Mintz, President & CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix, today accepted a $100,000 check from Wells Fargo to support operations during Arizona’s school walkout.  Don Pearson, Wells Fargo’s Lead Regional President of the Desert Mountain Region, was joined by colleagues and Wells Fargo volunteers manning a community phone bank at Channel 12 /KPNX, to present the check to support the operations of Clubs around the state of Arizona through the teacher walkout.

Potential Teacher Strike

We are actively monitoring the planned walkout of educators starting on April 26, 2018.  We have developed a plan for how the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix will support the kids and families we serve across the Valley.  Every school district is working on their response plan and we are collaborating with each of the schools and districts that we serve.

The Big Event 2018

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix’s (BGCMP) Connect board invites the public to join its 9th annual charity celebration, “The Big Event.” Taking place on Saturday, May 5 at 6:00 p.m. at the Camelback Esplanade, the event will feature a buzzing social scene, delicious local dining from TEN & Dieci, live entertainment from Jay Allan & the Uncommon Good, Bruce St. James as master of ceremonies, auctions, and more.
